Oh, you know, freezing tomatoes, freezing green beans, picking salads and strawberries and making spaghetti sauce.\u00a0 Yep, just another day here on The Little Half Acre that Could!<\/p>\n

Let me just say that we’re really pleased with this year’s produce haul, especially considering what we started with.\u00a0 Hhmmm . . . what was it we started with again?\u00a0 Oh yeah, that’s right — rock!\u00a0 And clay.\u00a0 But mostly rock.<\/p>\n

We’ve had several bumper crops from the garden.\u00a0 In fact, We’ve started eating fresh kale, mustard greens and spinach out of the fall garden but there’s still a ton of frozen kale, mustard greens and spinach in the freezer.\u00a0 And green beans.\u00a0 And tomatoes.\u00a0 And carrots.\u00a0 And, the compost pile is overflowing with the cucumbers I never pickled, the okra I just didn’t get around to cooking and some other goodies that seemed to taunt me with their ripeness.<\/p>\n
