Not many posts lately – wonder why that is? Hhmmmm. . . maybe because the turnip greens, mustard greens, kale (Red Russian), kale (Lacinato), lettuce, romaine and spinach are all DEMANDING to be cut, checked for bugs or bug eggs, washed, cooked and eaten or frozen.
Hey, it’s a tough job but somebody’s gotta eat all that stuff! We have baby tomatoes coming on, small heads of broccoli, small heads of cabbage and all kinds of stuff up and growing: potatoes, squash, zucchini, spaghetti squash, butternut squash, okra, field peas, onions, eggplant, peppers and corn. Whew. And the garden peas are just about ready for picking and shelling and cooked and eaten or frozen. Yup, gonna be busy!

A progress report on our new terraces next time – and more about permaculture – but first, time to eat!!!
