. . . A Thousand Words at least! Just lookit! We’re lovin’ our Christmas prezzie from daughter Liz that we’ve proudly hung by the front door. Thank you Liz!!!
What does homesteading mean, anyway? According to Wikipedia, homeseading is “a lifestyle of self-sufficiency. It is characterized by subsistence agriculture, home preservation of foodstuffs, and it may or may not also involve the small scale production of textiles, clothing, and craftwork for household use or sale.”
For us, it means peace of mind; knowing that we can (and do) produce healthy food for us and for our family and friends. It means not depending on a food supply chain that stretches across the globe. It means continuing ancient lines of produce by using heirloom seeds. It means reducing our personal impact on the environment by living small(er).
But, most of all, it means complete and utterly deep happiness. I wish that for you as well. I wish you happy homesteading. . .
